We recently had the pleasure of catching up with Chris Bradbury, a THMotorsports customer who is a big fan of Honda S2000 roadsters...especially the first generation AP1s. But, then again, who isn't? The S2000 was built by the Japanese automaker for the decade leading up to 2009 and first appeared at the Tokyo Motor Show way back in 1995. It was named based on it's engine displacement of 2 liters, carrying on the Honda tradition. Chris' dream of building a performance car that is of his own liking (and isn't rooted in what everyone else thinks), but packs big boost, is the ultimate goal of may tuners. So, take a moment to see what Chris has been up to with his 2000 Honda, what his plans are for the future...and where he plans to mount a child's car seat later this year!

Honda S2000 | '00 AP1

Nine Lives | V8 Mazda Miata

Q:  How long have you owned your 2000 Honda S2000?
I've only had the car for about 3 months now.

Q:  What did you drive before this?
Before this I had a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T with a 5.7L Hemi.

Q:  What led you to build this car?
I chose this car because I wanted a car that could somewhat compare to the Charger, it was a really fun car to drive, also it gets a lot of looks!

Q:  How did you become aware of THMotorsports?
To be honest, THMotorsports just popped up while I was searching the Internet for parts. And, I've came back ever since.

Q:  What was your goal while building this car?
My goal was just to build it to my own liking. I'm not worried about everybody else’s opinion. As you can see, I still have a ways to go before it's anywhere close to being done. But, we’re getting there!

Q:  What problems did you face while building this car?
No problems yet, but I've only done basic mods so far including exhaust, and quick release steering wheel.

Q: What are your future plans for your car?

Future plans are kinda out on hold at the moment since I am expecting a baby in November, but hopefully it will be boosted soon.
Q: How long have you been into tuning cars?
I have loved everything about cars since I was just a little kid.  My grandpa always raced drag cars, and my uncle and cousin always had nice cars, too.

Q: What is your favorite thing about this car?
My favorite thing has got to be the fact it's a convertible, I love it. Rear wheel drive is always awesome, too!

Q: What was your most memorable experience in this car?
Right after I bought my Honda S2000 I picked up one of my buddies and headed to my mom's house to show her my new car. I took every back road I could think of to find out what this little thing would do. Next thing I know, we are doing 90 mph down the street. Came up to one of those "gut buster" hills, and jumped the car about 10 feet. Scared us both to death!
