We recently had the pleasure of catching up with Eric Merhout, a THMotorsports customer who is just getting started in the tuner game...by taking a radical approach, snubbing the popular Subbie, and building one radical new bow tie. We recently had the pleasure of catching up with Kelby Spacely, a THMotorsports customer from The Bay State who is living out his dream of building a radical Honda that stands out from the crowd. But, then again, how many tuners do you know that have tackled the tiny Honda Fit? First launched in the subcompact field back in 2001 and now in its third generation, the small car with the ability to pack a surprisingly large payload was first launched in Japan where it immediately won the Car of The Year Japan award. So, take a moment to see what Kelby has done to his Fit in order to transform it into a ride that stands out from the crowd!

Q:  How long have you owned your 2014 Honda Fit?
I have owned my Fit for one year this month.

Q:  What did you drive before this?
Before purchasing my Fit, I drove a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Before that I owned a 2004 Honda Civic. And, before that I drove a 1994 Honda Accord.

Q:  What led you to build this car?
I had wanted to get into the Honda game in a big way for a long time. But, I wanted to drive something that was unique...Something that not a lot of other people would own. So, after doing some research I decided that the Honda Fit was the perfect car for me. You might even say that this car was just a good fit...

Q:  How did you become aware of THMotorsports?
I found THMotorsports while surfing the web for affordable performance parts for my car.

Q:  What was your goal while building this car?
My goal with this build was simply to build a show car that I could enter at all the local events while still having a car with a little added performance.

Q:  What problems did you face while building this car?
Believe it or not, I haven't had any real problems during this build. Working at Honda was a big plus since the techs I work with were always willing to help out and share the knowledge I needed to work on this car. It also helped that I have a lot of friends that were willing to help me work on the car.

Q: What are your future plans for your car?

I still want to complete a K-series swap

Q: How long have you been into tuning cars?
Believe it or not, I really wasn't all that into working on cars until I started doing it for a living. So, only for about two years.

Q: What is your favorite thing about this car?
I love the suspension and the wheels on my Fit.

Q: What was your most memorable experience in this car?
For me, it's all about cruising with my friends and showing off our cars.

We recently had the pleasure of catching up with Jeremy Phillips, a THMotorsports customer who is living his dream of racing an Autocross car...a car that he build with his own two hands. But, then again, who hasn't dreamed of tearing up the track in a screamin' fast car that rides and drives like an oversized gocart? First launched in 1989, the low and lean Mazda MX-5 was initially built in the spirit of the British and Italian roadsters that tore up the roads in the swingin' 60's. However, the little racer has been so popular that it surpassed its competitors to achieve the title of "best selling two-seat convertible sports car in history!" So, take a moment to see what Jeremy has done to his Miata in order to transform it into a true autocross powerhouse!

We recently had the pleasure of catching up with Andreas Haase, a THMotorsports customer who is a big fan German made sportscars...especially the rare 944S2 soft-top variety. But, then again, who hasn't dreamed of cruising along in a powerful drop-top Porsche on a warm summer day? First launched in 1989, the 944S2 was initially powerd by a 211 PS normally aspirated, dual-overhead-cam 16-valve 3.0L...The largest production 4-cyliner engine available at the time. Andreas' dream of tuning a whole fleet of powerful Porsches is rubbing off on his family who have also been bitten by the German sportscar bug. So, take a moment to see what Andreas has been up to with his 1990 Cabriolet, what his plans are for the future...and what cars he and his family will be working on in the future!
