We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Josh Mayfield, a THMotorsports customer, to learn a little about how he got started wrenching on cars…and what motivated him to start the mod process on the highly modifiable Toyota Celica GT-S! While it's a car that has generated a great deal of interest--and excitement--since it first rolled onto the auto-sports scene back in 1970 and continued to spark the interest of auto-enthusiasts until it was eventually discontinued in 2006. Throughout its time on the road, the Celica has been powered by a number of four-cylinder engines. However, the interest in the car for motorsports was ignited in August of 1985 when the car's layout was changed from rear wheel drive to its current front wheel drive format.

As you will see, Josh's vision for his flat-blue Celica is one that eats Roush Mustang's and BMWs for breakfast at the track while providing him with a solid daily driver.
